New Project!! Movie and Book

Ok, so seeing as though I have trouble sticking to one thing for any amount of time to finish in a timely manner or due to copyright issues (I'm sure you know which one I mean there... ) I have decided to take a feature script that I wrote and turn it into a novel.

The script is called For the Sunset (as will be the book) and basically it's about a 20-year old college girl trying to cope with the death of her dad and dealing with her feelings for two college friends (at the same time). She's a rather passive character, but I like her nonetheless. FTS is the first fiction I've done that isn't fantasy really, so that should at least impress some people. It did my professor when I handed him a copy of the script to read.

So, as I am entering rewrites for the 2nd draft of the script, I've decided to finally write the book. I thought I might write a book adaptation of it after I made the movie, but here's my reasons.
(1) Writing the book will help me think of how to better rewrite the script, as I think better and am not so restricted by the number of pages in a book as I am in a script.
(2) Writing/publishing a book first has the potential to give the story some fan base to start with.

Basically, I'm taking the script and just rewriting it in novel form, which has been quite liberating thus far. I'm already beginning to rearrange some things, but seeing as though the story has already been written out, and it's pretty amazing and I don't plan to rework it much structure-wise (for the 2nd draft of the script), then I don't see writing the novel taking more than six months if I can square off the spare time to actually write it and not get distracted.

I've already written the short prologue and begun chapter 1. I'm likely going to post spontaneous chapters up here on my account to see what you guys think, so be on the lookout. When I'm on my laptop again, I may just post up the prologue.

Anyhoo, that's all from me.

FFX: The Movie - Update: Sneak Peek!!

:film:Final Fantasy X: The Movie
--------Estimated Running Time: 150-180min
--------Release Date: TBA

Click this link to go to the original journal, where you'll find an EXTENSIVE list of information.

Just wanted to resurface to say that I have uploaded a scene from the film onto youtube, which you can find here: [link]

(Note: When I first wrote this journal, I JUST uploaded it, so it may need more time to process. If so, check back after a while.)

I'd love to hear any and all reactions to the scene, so drop me a comment. I realize the video quality likely isn't the best, but the entire film will likely turn out like this. Nothing I can do to improve its quality. The quality is actually much better on my computer during my editing, but once it goes through uploading the quality drops considerably. Sorry.

Stargate Universe Next Episode Prediction

For SG-U's next episode, "Light" the Destiny is on a collision course into a star.

Now, here's my prediction of how this episode will play out for the most part. Scott and Rush said that the maneuver that Destiny pulled off altered their trajectory more so than they had estimated. Now, since Destiny did this, and it wasn't something the crew programmed (how can they if they can't access any systems anyway) then I think Destiny intended to aim for the sun. Stars are big sources of energy, so if it runs out of energy, what better place to harvest it back again?... Or, it really was a malfunction on Destiny's part and it's a mistake. So, if Destiny intended the course, the people wil figure out, "Oh, look, Destiny brought us here on purpose" -- OR -- they people will say, "Is there a way to take the star's energy to reboot ours?" The shuttle will likely be launched with the lottery winners, and Destiny will most likely recollect the shuttle (I mean, it's an awesome thing for the show to have for practical reasons) -- OR they will be lost, as a good emotional impact on those left on Destiny (along with the irony that though those aboard Destiny were thought dead, now it's the shuttle people that will be lost forever) because once Destiny recollects its energy, then it will jump back into space.

My two facts I base this prediction on:
--The fact that Destiny pulled the maneuver herself and it wasn't programmed by the people.
--And, this is a ship that is several billion lightyears from home (AND pegasus), so how DOES a ship of that size (obviously needing quite a bit of power to run) not run out of power every now and again? Traveling to a star would be a safe bet for the Ancients to have programmed it so that it can recharge.

Okay, well, I guess we'll see what's right about this prediction come Friday!

By choosing acrylic, you have the option of canvas paper, canvas panel, or an actual canvas board. The above prices are based on the BOARDS (which are good for being able to hang without a frame). If choosing a PANEL, you get a $5 reduction in price ($40), and if choosing PAPER, you get an $8 reduction in price ($37).

ALL PRICES ARE NEGOTIABLE ON SIZE. These are estimated price levels and may be subject to change (for lower OR higher). SHIPPING on all artwork will be $3.50, but shipping for ALL acrylic items will be $10. TO SAVE ON ALL ITEMS (EXCEPT SKETCH/CONCEPTUAL WORK), you can choose to opt out of receiving the original. With this, you would then not be paying shipping costs and you would receive a price reduction between $5 - $10 depending on medium. A scan of your commission would then be sent via email attachment or uploaded to DA, all you would then need to do is save the file to your computer and print (I DO NOT recommend this option for ACRYLICS, as they do not scan or photograph well, but the choice is yours).

With these prices, remember that professional illustrators are paid $100-$200 PER illustration, so I am not asking for a lot. I'm sure others on DA are asking for more $.

DO NOT TRY TO PASS MY WORK OFF AS YOUR OWN. THIS IS ART THEFT AND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. DO NOT RE-SELL MY WORK FOR YOUR OWN PROFIT. DO NOT DISPLAY MY WORK IN A PUBLIC PLACE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT MY WRITTEN PERMISSION.

PAYMENT:
I am recently setting up payment options. I will likely be getting a paypal account, but I will update this journal when I have that information available. Payment will be due after completion of the project and before it is shipped out.

I highly urge you to look through my gallery to see what else I can offer you, and if you don't see anything like you'd want, gimme a comment or note and I'll see if I'm up to the challenge. My specialty is portraits and figures, however, I can do other work.

I WILL retain all rights to my artwork. I therefore retain the right to post my commissions up on DA and wherever else I deem necessary. All my artwork will bear my signature.

For purposes of shipping, I CANNOT work any larger than 11x8 yet. As acrylics will need better shipping, they will have higher shipping costs. Non-US or Canada residents will have a larger fee due to shipping costs (IF I choose to work with foreign commissioners at all).

Photography prints to come available soon.

Drop me a question for further information.
