Hello, fellow deviants!

Here's a contest for you to enjoy. Details following..

CONTEST: This is a writing contest which will be open to anyone and based on one of three of the following topics.
ONE: How Midna and Link spend their last hours together before she returns home [this can also end with the depature scene and you are free to rewrite it to your fancy].
TWO: A romantic scene between Link and Midna with any setting.
THREE: Your version of how, when, where Link and Midna will reunite and how they spend their time together.

LENGTH AND MATERIAL: All entries should not exceed 3000 words. The material base of these entries is open to a lot. Except... If your entry has sensuality in it, it will not be accepted IF it is so intense that it would require a content blocker. Keep it decent. [Note: the content blocker rule applies only to mature sensuality.] Further, you are free to choose how you go about this. It doesn't have to solely be of nothing but romance. For example: It could involve someone getting hurt, dying, or Link coming off an adventure, but keep the romance as your key material plot.

HOW TO ENTER: Entry should be posted in the devaint's gallery. Then comment on this journal thread with a link to your entry. It will be printed and reviewed. Deviants are not allowed to enter material that has been uploaded to this site previously. It must be fresh material. If I find you enter anything old, your submission will no longer be considered.

ONE ENTRY PER DEVIANT

JUDGING: Entries will be judged solely by me. They will be judged based on the chemistry between the two, sensory language, and how well their existing bonds/emotions are expressed.

RUN OF CONTEST: This contest will run from June 18 2007 to July 20 2007.

PRIZE: For the winning entry, I will write a fan fiction based upon the winning devaint's material. It will encompass their scene in it [yet I will retain the right to edit it a little bit -- this will include any grammar/spelling errors and/or dialogue additions/deletions/revisions and also anything I feel will or will not work with the scenes that will come before and after it in the line of the story. And the deviant will be free to request certain scenes to be put into it. Also, the deviant will be allowed to ask for the appearance of any character [Nintendo based - or original]. It will have a beginning, middle, and end, and the deviant will choose how the story will end. I will also create a title page for it, which the winning deviant will have creative control on what is displayed. This fiction will not exceed 50,000 words.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNER: The winning entry will be announced at some point in the month of August, if I have all entries reviewed by that time.

Well, thanks for reading over this and considering it. I hope many of you will enter, as I am looking forward to what you guys come up with! I'm excited about working with the winning deviant on this fan fiction.

I have had to redefine the terms of the winning entry. I will have to reduce the length of the fan fiction I will write to 20,000 words. This is due to my entry into college this coming fall. I wanted to try to finish the fic before I go on to college, however, if I find that I have more time available to devote to this endeavor, it will be longer. Sorry for the change, and I hope you understand!
